The book ends by explaining that the Phantom decided that Christine’s happiness was with Raoul and not with him. He then lets her go. Finally, it is shown that even after years, the Phantom still remembers Christine and loves her. I liked this ending, because I think Phantom did the right thing. However, I would have preferred the book to end up with Christine and The Phantom together, because they were such a good couple. In conclusion, personally, I loved this book a lot, because on the one hand, it is about mystery and on the other, it is a romantic novel.
